Azerbaijan bought 77 Million worth Weaponry from Turkey before the War.

Reports from the war-torn region of Nagorno Karabakh say Azerbaijan bought weaponry worth $ 77m from Turkey a month before the fighting broke out in Nagorno-Karabakh, proving that Turkey sold military arms to Azerbaijan. According to a report arms sales in the region has quadrupled compared to the past.

Since the beginning of the war in Nagorno Karabakh, military relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan have emerged. Turkey has provided military support to Azerbaijan since the beginning of the war and has reportedly sold fighter jets and ammunition.  While working to expand and modernize the Azerbaijani defense sector by providing modern weapons.

A spokesman for the Azerbaijani president's office said they had reached an agreement with the defense company from Turkey to purchase arms. Azerbaijani Defense Minister Z. Hasanov has declared that they are ready to purchase unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, or drones) from Turkey, as part of a defense agreement between the two countries in June. The Bayraktar TB2 drones can operate at altitudes of 8,000 meters (26,250 feet), while having the ability to hide, and can fly for up to 27 hours, and can be loaded with four missiles. Reports say this equipment is currently being used in the current fighting.

Azerbaijan has made it clear that it is receiving military support from Turkey. While Ankara is very committed to providing Baku with its military needs, Azure welcoming Turkish military cooperation.

Turkey, which has been waging war in the Middle East and Nagorno Karabakh, has distanced itself from accusations that it is taking part in a military operation in the conflicted region of Nagorno. Reports say Turkey has sold weapons to Azerbaijan including drones, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition, and other weapons since July when border clashes broke out between Armenian and Azeri forces.

According to an agreement reached between the two countries and approved by the Azerbaijani parliament on May 31, Turkey will provide a total of 200 million Turkish lire (approximately $ 30 million) to buy military goods from Turkish defense industries.

Ankara, which the world has called for ceasefire and peace deal participation, is currently pursuing a ceasefire, but insists it is not part of the ongoing war in the region.
