Elon Musk trolled over the second Twitter outage in 2 weeks

Twitter’s CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and tech billionaire, Elon Musk, was trolled on social media after Twitter reportedly went down for the second time in two weeks.

On Thursday, Twitter was down for some users. According to the internet crash tracking website Downdetector, more than 8,000 people reported issues with using Twitter on Thursday. iPhone users faced issues while accessing Twitter, while Android and website users didn't flag any issues.

The ‘For You’ section of Twitter was not accessible to some iPhone users. Some users complained that Twitter notifications were not loading properly. Twitter users made memes about Musk and started trolling him. They slammed Musk’s management of Twitter.

A user wrote on Twitter, “Just Elon Musk spending another night trying to fix Twitter…” Another user wrote on the micro-blogging site, “#TwitterDown is a thrilling new action movie where Musk's staff find him curled up on a couch sobbing because he cannot attract followers, so everyone pretends the country is under siege and the FBI moves Elon to a secure location near the vending machines.”

Later on, Twitter Support wrote, “iOS users may have experienced some trouble using Twitter earlier.” Twitter Support apologized and said that “things must be back to normal.”

Musk also responded to online trolling. He clarified what went wrong with Twitter. He reportedly said, “I am perfect because I do not make any mistakes. They are external factors, such as network issues, server errors, user inputs, or web results.” He further said that the external factors were imperfect and not him.

Meanwhile, Leah Culver, a senior software engineer at Twitter, wrote, “I turned on a Spaces feature that did not perform well at scale.” She said that the Site Stability team helped to fix the problem and they rolled it back. She took the blame for the recent Twitter crash.
