Known for his staunch resistance views, Qassem inherits the complex task of balancing Hezbollah’s military objectives with Lebanon’s growing humanitarian crisis. His three televised addresses since Nasrallah’s death reflect his dual approach of resistance and negotiation.

The appointment of Qassem has raised questions about Hezbollah’s next steps in its long-standing conflict with Israel.
