Iran claims that security is now secured along the Afghan border

Image
The security of Iran's shared border with Afghanistan is absolutely secured, according to a senior Iranian military officer, because the Iranian Army's Ground Force has complete authority over the area. One day after armed clashes between Iranian border guards and Taliban fighters in the region claimed the lives of three people, Kioumars Heydari, commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Force, made the comments during a visit to Iran's southeast Sistan and Baluchestan province, which borders Afghanistan. According to him, the Iranian armed forces' presence on the shared border does not indicate that the nation is in danger; rather, it is done to preserve intelligence dominance and guarantee border security. He also said that while Iran is devoted to the idea of good neighborliness, it will retaliate if the other side does not follow the law. The confrontations ceased on Saturday, according to Iran's deputy police chief Qassem Rezaei, who was present during the vi...

In the Middle East, Iran Creates The Biggest Threat to Israel

Image
Iran cannot be permitted to pursue the creation of a nuclear weapon because, once uranium has been weaponized, it will be possible for it to extort the region. Israel, the Middle East, and the rest of the world are still seriously threatened by Iran. Israel's top security and defense officials raised the alarm about Iran's continued progress towards a nuclear weapon this week at the Herzliya Conference at Reichman University. According to IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, Iran has recently increased its uranium enrichment levels. He said that this is a serious issue and shows that the Islamic Republic is headed towards nuclear capability. Overall, it appears that Iran will continue to behave badly on several fronts, and Israel must maintain its vigilance. While we shouldn't be overly alarmed about the Iranian threat, we also need to prepare for the ongoing provocations that Tehran will likely throw at us soon, as stated in the remarks made by our senior defense of...

For Jordan to see quicker growth, reforms must be accelerated, says IMF

Image
Recently, the International Monetary Fund remarked that Jordan needed urgent structural economic reforms in order to increase the growth beyond the average of 2% to 3%. The IMF is of the opinion that in order to generate more jobs to curb high unemployment, significant reforms were necessary in Jordan. Ron van Rooden, an IMF official, remarked that the rate of unemployment was still high in Jordan, especially for women and the youth. Given these circumstances, structural reforms are necessary to achieve inclusive growth and create more jobs. Currently, the unemployment rate stands at 22.9%, and without significant growth, it is not possible to remedy the current situation. For 2023, the growth rate forecast was 2.6%. However, this growth was still insufficient to better the standards of living of the country which has a current population of eleven million and an annual population growth rate of almost 2%. However, on the positive side, the IMF official has called Jordan a succes...
