Turkey plans to open health care facilities and vocational school in Syria
Turkey plans to open a medical care vocational school and health care facility in the Cobanbey (Al-Ra'i) town of Syria near the border. On Friday, the decision was declared in Turkey's Official Gazette.
Elementary school for 1,100 kids in Syria's northwestern region of Idlib was opened by Turkey's Diyanet Foundation in Nov 2020.
Probably the greatest result of Syria's activity in Idlib is the mediation of Turkey. Ankara has been engaged with the war in Syria since its initial days. For a long time, Turkey's role has been both military and strategic.
On 24 August 2016, the Turkish Armed Forces started an immediate military mediation into Syria by announcing Operation Euphrates Shield, basically focusing on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The conflict between Assad's powers and rebels has driven thousands away from their homes.
However, in order to encourage Syrian refugees to return home, Turkey has been involved in building hospital universities in Syria, such as in Al-Bab, Afrin, and Idlib, since 2018. The Turkish lira is additionally being utilized in the Cobanbey locale and Al-Bab.
While a few experts consider such moves a boost to the region’s already damaged social infrastructure, others say Ankara may confront allegations from Syria of foreign intervention in its regional sovereignty.
In 2017, The Turkish regime has started to incorporate Syrian refugee kids into the educational system to prevent them from feeling socially disengaged.
The Turkish Health Ministry made three hospitals with a total of 475 beds in Al-Bab, Cobanbey, and Marea. To address the convergence of Syrian refugees in Hatay Province, the European Union and AFD are supporting the development of another clinic in Dörtyol. It will be able to attend to more patients, both Turkish and Syrian.
However, as indicated by Oxford University Middle East researcher, Samuel Ramani, Turkey's framework and humanitarian aid projects could win support from Syrians in areas held by rebel groups since philanthropic aid through the UN is favors Russia and Assad regime.
